Blessing of New Campus

It was indeed a very special evening for all of us. The management, staff, students and parents of Devamatha CMI International School, as occasion draw unparalleled enthusiasm in us as we witnessed a harmonious blending of the school with the home and the society. We are all sure that God’s blessings of deeper love, fuller trust in God and a greater peace of heart have come down mightily on this new building and on all of us. Let’s hope that this temple of learning will stand erect for many years to come, giving the light of truth and knowledge and thereby fulfill the real purpose of education. Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is a progress, working together is success, and this is what we experience at Devamatha. It was the evening of Tuesday, May 22 where guests, well-wishers and parents had all gathered to take part in the celebration of the blessing of Devamatha CMI International School, following the Cambridge International curriculum. His Excellency Archbishop Mar Andrews Thazhath graced the ceremony with his valuable presence with the choir team welcoming the bishop with their musical interlude. Ms. Tessy Ignatius, Coordinator, Devamatha CMI International school addressed the gathering with a brief Introduction to the ceremony. Words of welcome always make the gathering feel at home and Rev Fr. Shaju Edamana CMI, the Principal, Devamatha CMI International school welcomed the Bishop and all the other dignitaries present at the gathering and also introduced the facilities being provided at the new campus. The vision and mission of the new venture was elaborated on and everyone who have been involved with the project was introduced and thanked for their efforts. Following this His Gracious Archbishop Mar Andrews Thazhath led the blessing prayer service. The choir team filled the prayer service with recitations and hymns. Chief guest of the day, His Gracious Archbishop Mar Andrews Thazhath addressing the audience said, .”The vision of the school should be to enrich the students with values along with academics, where the children will in turn be beneficial to the society. The life of St. Chavara should be embodied in the teachings and Morales imparted to the students ensuring they grow every step as resources of upliftment to the society they are part of.” Rev Fr. Walter Thelappily CMI, Provincial, Devamatha CMI Province promised that the Devamatha CMI International School will be committed to serve the poor and the community. He said “ If we stay united in prayer we can take up any challenge and all things are possible. Together we can ensure a larger purpose for ourselves and for the society” Also during the occasion, Mr. Sajan, the architect of the building, Mr. Mathews, the Interiors of the building, Mr. Ashraf, the Contractor of the building - ASCON, Mrs. Vidhya Baburaj, Avanoor Grama Panchayath President, Mr. Subrahmanyan N, Avanoor Panchayath 1st Ward member, Mrs. Sherly Dileep, Velur Panchayath President, Mrs. Arundhathi Suresh, Velur Panchayath 8th Ward member, Mrs Swapna Ranachandran, Velur Ward member, Itoop Master, the previous owner of the land, Ms. Veena, Manager South Indian Bank, Irinjalakuda were also felicitated. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Joel Francis, Administrator, Devamatha CMI International School. The ceremony concluded with a reception where the guests were served refreshments.
